This new client to Coldline in the food supply industry, needed a fast solution to get them up and running in a new location, having outgrown their existing facility. The job involved installing two massive freezer rooms of more than 16,000 cubic metres and a 2000 cubic metre chiller into the vast warehouse space. Again, we installed the excellent Bitzer motors from our trusty local supplier, bringing outstanding German engineering with excellent local support.
An already incredibly tight time-frame was further compressed by planning constraints.
But against all odds, we managed to overcome every obstacle without compromising the outcome of the job and still delivered on time and on budget.

We’ve been providing service and maintenance services to our client for over 15 years, and were excited to assist them with the relocation of their equipment to a new store, and fit out the new building, supplementing existing fixtures with brand new coolers and Hussmann RL freezer cases with Schott glass, frameless doors for a sleek, modern finish. Having been involved in the installation of one of their new stores, and refurbishment of another, we were already very familiar with their operation and requirements.

This particular site presented a challenge externally, as the condensing units, positioned outside the building are notoriously noisy. In this instance causing an issue in the heavily populated area. With a little ingenuity and some clever engineering, we were able to significantly reduce the noise pollution, making the fans very quiet, even at close quarters.

Our client had recently moved into a vast refrigerated warehouse, only to discover the previous tenants had stripped out and removed the whole refrigeration system.

Georges is one of the very best butchers in the business and prides itself on highly selective sourcing. They know all the farmers they work with personally and are intimate with the origins of all the meats they sell.
We assisted Georges with the refurbishment of their existing store, replacing the all the self-serve equipment we had installed 10 years earlier, and have continued to service and maintain.
This equipment certainly had some miles left on the clock, but Georges needed to maximise the efficiency of their operations. The old refrigeration units were low profile, limiting the amount of product that could be displayed, meaning staff were having to re-stock six times a day. Increasing the capacity of the system with full height refrigerators has reduced this re-stocking to just twice a day, which saves the team heaps of time, and allows their valuable customers to always find what they’re looking for. We also increased the capacity of the freezers to accommodate more frozen products.
